INTEROP FAQS
What is an interop?
An interop, or interoperability test, is a means of checking the ability for two or more hardware or software devices to work together seamlessly. In our case, it is a means of checking connectivity between a customer's network systems and our network systems.
Mix Meeting conducts an interop with each prospective voice services customer before they are “turned up” to pass traffic over our network.
What protocols are supported?
Mix Meeting supports SIP and TDM protocols using SIP, H.323 or ISDN PRI.
What codecs are supported?
Mix Meeting supports the G.711 and G.729 for US termination products.
Do I have to have a conference/chat for my interop? What if I want one?
A conference call or chat session with a Mix Meeting technician is required if you are testing an international route. If you are testing a domestic route or DIDs, a technician will provide testing information for you to test at your convenience. However, if you wish to have a conference/chat anyways, please let your technician know.
